Eagles soar to dominant victory

HUMMOCKS produced its best performance of the season, so far, as it thrashed Mallala by 31 goals in Adelaide Plains A1 netball on Saturday.

Lauren Maxwell starred for the Eagles, with her work in the attacking circle causing headaches for the Magpies’ defence.

Mallala goalkeeper Ashlee Angus fought hard all day.

Meanwhile, Virginia put a dent in Hamley Bridge’s finals aspirations, knocking the Bombers off by four goals.

Ram Mikaela Purdie was sensational, sinking 24 of her side’s 40 goals, while Sarah Clark dominated through the mid-court.

Jessamie Faunt was the Bombers’ best, while Kelsey Wedding shot truly with 29 goals.

Lastly, Long Plains remains in touch with the top four following a three-goal win over Two Wells.

Jane McBride was again in top form for the Tigers, while Tara Learhinan was the Roosters’ best.
