A 27-YEAR-OLD Gawler West woman has been charged with theft after allegedly stealing almost $500,000 from her employers over a year, including one from Roseworthy.
Police will allege the woman stole almost $500,000 in cash from two separate employers in Roseworthy and Parafield Gardens between March 2016 and May this year.
Barossa Crime Investigation Branch detectives arrested the woman on Friday morning following an investigation into the thefts.
The 27-year-old has been charged with 258 counts of theft and has been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Tuesday, August 1.
Police have encouraged businesses to undertake regular auditing as part of best practice to prevent these type of offences from occurring.
