Gawler Historic Building: Old Bushman Hotel

The Old Bushman was built in the early 1840s by Robert Robertson and the yards at the rear and side were for many years the scene of horse, stock and other sales. The busy old pub has had some well known licensees, including Mr J. H. Howe, later to become the Hon. J.H. Howe.

The impresive lace work was the product of the nearby Eagle foundry.
