Intersection strikes again

THE notorious Tulloch Road/Main North Road intersection in Evanston was the scene of yet another car accident when three cars collided on Monday afternoon.

The Bunyip understands that just before 1.15pm on Monday, a vehicle looking to turn left onto Main North Road from Tulloch Road failed to give way and collided with an oncoming car, which was hit from behind by a third vehicle.

No major injuries were sustained, but two of the three cars had to be towed away and the other was considerably damaged.

The incident occurred as a petition calling for safety improvements to be made at the intersection surpassed 1000 signatures.
