I would like to see how the plans to upgrade the transport infrastructure to service not only Gawler but out to Mallala, Two Wells and the Barossa, which should be attached to this proposal.
The lack of transport in the Barossa and Gawler is a disgrace now, let alone with the population growth expected to come.
Where in this report does it say how much will be spent on the train line being upgrade, buses introduced and roads upgraded??
As for the upgrade of Murray street, this leaves no space for a bus system to put into place which shows the lack of foresight by the council.
Both the council and minister have failed to actually look at the town in detail, and the council has certainly failed to look logically at ALL areas of infrastructure when making decisions about road upgrades and new (still half empty) shopping precints within Gawler and suburbs.
