A TRUCK that rolled over at a major roundabout in Gawler River earlier this week remained on its side for several hours before a crane arrived to pick it up.
The truck, which was carrying chicken feed, rolled at the roundabout between Two Wells Road and Wingate Road, in Gawler River, at around 12.30pm on Monday.
The truck came to rest in front of the Wingate Road entry point to the roundabout, blocking it off from northbound motorists entering the roundabout from Wingate Road.
Luckily, there were no injuries.
However, Dalkeith and Gawler River Country Fire Service (CFS) crews attended the scene, along with a Dalkeith CFS Hazmat unit, due to concerns oil had begun spilling from the truck.
The crews contained the oil spill within half an hour of arriving.
The Wingate Road entry point remained blocked until around 5.30pm, when a crane arrived to right the truck.
