Officer in charge at South

LONG-TIME clubman Luke Officer has taken over as president of the South Gawler Football Club for season 2017.
Mr Officer will succeed outgoing president Janine Panagiotou, who stepped down from the role recently.
“I’m very excited to take on the role – there have been a lot of changes at the club, not just administration,
but we’ve had the appointment of our first playing-coach for about 23 years and the addition of some new
recruits, and some players returning,” Mr Officer said.
“Janine has had a great contribution to the club, I want to thank her for her services.
“She’s been working tirelessly for the best interest of the club and has developed further relationships with
the other eight clubs.”
South has recruited well so far, and Mr Officer said there’s an air of confidence floating around the playing group.
“It’s really exciting – there’s a good, positive, vibe around the club,” he said.
