Three-car crash at Tiver Road

CITY-BOUND traffic along Main North Road was slowed almost to a standstill on Monday after three cars collided near the Tiver Road intersection.

The three-car collision occurred just before 8.45am, when a 48-year-old Two Wells woman driving a blue Ford sedan, heading south along Main North Road, crashed into the back of a stationary red Mazda Neo, which was waiting at the Tiver Road intersection traffic lights.

The Mazda was then pushed forward, colliding with a Toyota Hilux.

Drivers were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The Ford and Mazda were significantly damaged and had to be towed away.

Motorists travelling southbound, approaching Tiver Road, faced delays as police blocked off the lane, in which the accident occurred, until 10am.
