Two Wells out, Mallala advances

MALLALA has advanced to the Adelaide Plains A1 netball grand final after it defeated Two Wells by 12 goals on Saturday.

The Roosters were in touch with the Magpies early on, and trailed by just two goals at the first break.

Mallala attempted to shake Two Wells off in the second and third quarters, but could only extend its margin to three goals by the final change.

However, it was a fourth-quarter blitz that saw the Magpies surge ahead.

Mallala netted 15 goals to the Roosters’ six in the final term to secure a spot in the grand final.

Katelin Clark was sensational in centre, feeding Brooke Wilson and Laura Jarmyn under the ring.

For Two Wells, Tara Learhinan did a serviceable job in goalkeeper in the losing effort.

In A2, a five-goal win to Hummocks-Watchman saw Virginia bundled out of finals in straight sets.

Eagles’ goal attack Deanna Stainer was best on court, while Laura Beaney was admirable for Virginia.
