Wilson makes an impact

STAR Barossa District goalie Lisa Wilson’s stunning performance in Saturday’s Barossa, Light & Gawler senior one netball grand final saw her named best on court.

Wilson, who usually plays as a goal shooter, was moved into goal attack after coach Roz Fraser decided to shake things up.

Fraser was delighted with how Wilson played and said she “deserved the honour”.

“She had a really good game, she dug deep; it’s hard missing goals because of the wind, she was rebounding extremely well,” she said.

“Between her and Shannon (Caire), I moved Lisa out into goal attack, which was a strategy I left up my sleeve.

“She adapted, she’s a good runner, and changed the whole game.”
