ZONTA Club of Gawler distributed over 2800 pre-loved children’s books for free, as part of its aim to “spread the reading bug” last week.
The club hosted a giant book swap near the Gawler Arcade last Friday and Saturday, offering free pre-loved books to children aged up to 12.
Local babysitter Tammika Gems said it was a great opportunity to find new books.
“I’m a babysitter so I thought I could read them too, and provide new services,” she said.
Zonta Club of Gawler thanked the Gawler community for making the event a success.
