Fly-through plans unveiled for new Two Wells campus
1 min read

PLANS for Xavier’s Two Wells campus development were unveiled to community members last week during a fly-through of the new site.

The school hosted two forums for people who have enrolled or shown interest in the college at Two Wells and anyone from the general public to come and hear about the development.

The forums included a tour of existing facilities at Xavier’s Gawler Belt campus before a special power point presentation offered attendees a vision of the new campus, including a fly-through animation.

Xavier College principal Mark Flaherty said local stakeholders, MPs, councillors and media representatives were invited to the forums.

“Our aim at Xavier is not only to be a good educational provider in the area, but a strong ‘community partner’,” he said.

“Part of that philosophy is obviously to be involved and informed about events and happenings within our local community and in turn ensure that we play our part in informing and educating our local community about what is going on at Xavier College.

“We invited members of the three local councils and MPs and media to last week’s event so that they could see firsthand what is happening with the development and have the opportunity for those that aren’t familiar with Xavier to get a sense of the Gawler Belt Campus and what the culture, ethos, teaching and learning looks like.”

The Two Wells development – being built by Mossop Construction – is on track for a 2021 opening of the reception to year 6 campus.

Mr Flaherty said the school hopes to host an additional forum in late September for members of the business community in Two Wells and surrounding areas and those from the general public that may be interested.
