Dodd signs with Bombers

KAPUNDA Football Club has continued to be busy early in the Barossa, Light & Gawler football off-season, signing Sturt premiership player Josh Dodd for next year.
The 21-year-old has been a part of the Double Blues’ past three SANFL campaigns, playing three league games in 2019, 16 games in 2018, and 11 games in his debut 2017 season.
As a 175cm onballer/small forward, Dodd has been described by the Bombers – who announced his signing via a Facebook post on Saturday – as having “great defensive pressure” and being highly recommended by former Sturt team-mate and newly-appointed Kapunda playing-coach Fraser Evans.
“We look forward to Josh joining the Bombers and having a big impact in 2020 and
beyond,” the post read.
“With two new recruits now signed for 2020 and another couple in the pipeline, we
are striving for success in 2020.”
Speaking with The Bunyip early last week, Evans said the Bombers were pursuing a number of potential recruits as they seek to reinstall a winning culture, and ascend the ladder next season after finishing bottom in 2019.
