Hummocks sets the pace in APNA

LIAM PHILLIPS
HUMMOCKS showed why it is
the Adelaide Plains Netball Association
A1 premiership favourite
as it extended its unbeaten start
to 4-0 with a 59-17 home win
against Hamley Bridge.
Ashleigh Williams was the home
side’s best on the day, while Emma
Lane was again the standout player
for Hamley Bridge.
Virginia moved into second place
after a 43-19 win at Long Plains
,courtesy of a best-on-court performance
from wing attack Sarah
Clark.
Goal keeper Stacey Faehrmann
was kept busy as Long Plains’ best,
but the result means her side is now
sitting dead last out of the seven A1
sides.
Goal attack Rachel Dunstan topscored
for Mallala with 23 goals
in the Magpies’ 48-34 win at Two
Wells.
While its offence was potent, it
was on the defensive end where
Mallala won the game, evident by
goal keeper Ashlee Angus scooping
best-on-court honours. For the
Roosters, wing attack Chelsea Harrison
was recognised for her efforts.
It was a similar story in A2, where
Hummocks beat Hamley Bridge 59-
28 to be the only undefeated side in
the division, with Two Wells second
at 3-1, and the remaining five
teams all even on one win.
